1st day
Departure from the centre of Thessalonica in the morning – Arrival at Epanomi (50 min.)
Arrival at “domaine Gerovassiliou”. Tour to the fields, winery and museum, wine tasting. (2 hours)
For lunch you can chose between the fish-tavern “Agnadi” located on the beach of Epamoni and the tavern “Iris” located in the bay of Retzika to the river of Epanomi. (15 min.). Departure to Agios Pavlos of Chalkidiki. (30 min). You will visit the winery of “Tsantali”, Tour and wine tasting (2 hours). Departure for Nea Genia (10 min). Tour and wine tasting to the “vineyard house Kazatzaki” for local delicate flavours (1 hour). Departure to Afitos (45 min). You wil walk to the village and visit the wine bar “Inoi” foa an aperitif and explore the flavours in a special place. Then you will dine at the restaurant “I Sousourada ke o Skatzoxiros” in Afitos or “I Platia tis Anthulas” in Kriopigi. Departure and stay sleep to Paliouri (45 min) from Afitos and 30 min from Kriopigi. For your stay you can choose between the hotels “Porto Valitsa” and “Akritas ef zin”

2nd day

Departure for domaine Porto Karas to Sithonia of Chalkidiki (1,5 hours). Tour to the vineyards and winery of the domaine and wine tasting in the special room “Melisanthi” (2-3 hours). Departures for Megali Panagia (40 min). Lunch at the farmstead “platanorema”. Departure for the domain Claudia Papagianni in Arnea. (15 min). Tour to the vineyard and wine tasting (1.5 hours). Departure for dinner to the restaurant “Agioneri” in Poligono (30 min). For your stay we recommend the palace “Viragas” in Vrastama and the massifs of “Apolimeni Petra” and “Farma” in Taxiarhi which are located 15 and 30 min from Poligiros.

3rd day
Departure from the hotel to Kalamoto of Thessalonica, 30 min from Poligiro. Visit to the “Agricultural union of women in Kalamotos” for tour and wine taste (30 min). Departure for Asko (30 min). You will visit the vineyard Arvanitidi for a tour and wine taste (1 hour). Arrival to domain Anestis Babatzimopoulou, tour and wine taste. (1,5-2 hours). Return to Thessalonica (1 hour).

1. This trip is aimed at friends of wine, gastronomy, traditional architecture and mountain lovers.
2. Visitors could follow one of the Wine Routes of Northern Greece, follow part of a route or choose
a combination between different Routes.
3. The Wine Routes of Northern Greece are eight:  the Olympian Gods, Epirus, Lakes, Naoussa,
Pella-Goumenissa, Thessaloniki, Halkidiki and Dionysus.
4. Making a reservation at the wineries and hotels is recommended.
5. The programme could be changed according the point and time of departure and arrival, adding or
eliminating options.
6. The above programme recommends businesses, which are members of the Wineroads network at the wine routes of northen Greece and wine routs of Thessalonica and Chalkidiki.
7. In both routes there are more members of the network wine routes of northen Greece that you can visit depending on your choice.
8. In the Wine Route of Chalkidiki and Thessalonica there are more possibilities for visitors, such as visits to archaeological places,
caves, churches, monasteries and outdoor activities options such as horse riding, cycling, rafting, hiking,
climbing, offroad 4X4 trips, water sports, golf and others.

***Please note that only for men there is a choice of visiting the wineyard to Metohi of Chromitsa of the monastery of Saint Panteleimonas and the wine fields and winery of Milopotamos. For the ladies there are cruises in the gulf of Agion Oros
