Wine Route of Pella - Goumenissa

Duration: 3 days
1st day Departure Thessalonica to Giannitsa (40 min) Tour and wine taste in Vineyard “Ligas” (1 hour) Coffe or brunch in the bistro “I Anatoli tis Disis” in Giannitsa. Before the departure from Giannitsa, stop to the local market with agriculture products of the store “Tsobanis Delicatessen”. Departure to Goumenissa (40 min). Before we arrive to Goumenissa, visit the vineyard “Hatzivariti” and then “Tatsi” for a tour and wine taste (2,5 hours)
For overnight stay we recommend: “Dimosthenis” in the center of Goumenissa and “Moschopoulos” in Megala Livadia (25 min from Goumenissa). Dinner to “To tzatziki” and then have drink in the Coffee-Bar “Diatiriteo” in the square of Goumenissa
2nd, 3rd,… day Departure from the hotel Tour and wine taste to vineyard “Boutari” and “Aidarini” (2–2,5 hours) Tour and wine taste to the local product shop “Goumenisses” (45 min) Then depending on our mood or the program (winter tourism, medical tourism etc.) ew can choose our next step.

…West, in the region of Pella: 1. Therapeutic water springs of Loutraki We recommend lunching in restaurant “Dionissos”, Overnight stay in the hotel “Alkionis” and traditional market shop “Ta glyka tis Athinas”. 2. Voras mountain (Kaimaktsalan) winter tourism to the ski center or to enjoy the natural beauties of the route of lakes: vineyards, rich gastronomy, spectacular parks and much more… For dinned we recommend “Petrino” in Panagitsa and for overnight stay you can chose between the hotels “Leventis art suites” in Panagitsa and “Nifada tou Vorra” in Palio Agio Athanasios. 3. In the beautiful city of Edesa with overnight stay in the traditional auberge “Varosi” which located in the eldest and beautiful neghbohood.
Please note: 1. This trip is aimed at friends of wine, gastronomy, traditional architecture and mountain lovers. 2. Visitors could follow one of the Wine Routes of Northern Greece, follow part of a route or choose a combination between different Routes. 3. The Wine Routes of Northern Greece are eight: the Olympian Gods, Epirus, Lakes, Naoussa, Pella-Goumenissa, Thessaloniki, Halkidiki and Dionysus. 4. Making a reservation at the wineries and hotels is recommended. 5. The programme could be changed according the point and time of departure and arrival, adding or eliminating options. 6. The above programme recommends businesses, which are members of the Wineroads network in the central area of the Wine Route of Northern Greece and Wine route of Pellas-Goumenissa 7.
