Wine Route of the Olympian Gods

The route of Olympian Gods is suitable for tourism both for summer and winter season, with its beautiful beaches and the unique mountains. It start from the southern part of “Wine Routes of nothen Greece”, Abelakia and Itea then contineues to Rapsani, krania, neos Padeleimonas, lItochoro, Dion and Katerini and reaches Elatochori, Palio Elatochori, Ano milia and Agios dimitrios.

Duration: 3 days

1st day
Evening arrival to the hotel “Kouria” in Abelakia for dinner and overnight stay or the traditional auberge “Castelo” in Neos Padeleimonas

2nd day
Tour and wine tasting at the ‘Dougos Winery’ in Itea (1 hour)
After crossing part of the highway Athens-Thessaloniki you will visit the vinery “Tsantali”
Departure to Krania .Tour and wine tasting at ‘Domaine Katsaros’
Departure to Rapsani (30’)
Lunch at the recommended restaurant ‘Rapsanopolis”
For your stay we recommend the following hotels: “Patriko” in Elatochori, “Artion Highland”, “Amadrias” or “Vaela Pallas” in Palio Elatochori, “Melies” in Ano Milia, “Safetis” in Dion.

Whatever you choose there is a variety of mountain and natural activities.
Dinner at the restaurant “Dimatis” in Agios Dimitrios

3rd day
Visit the archaeological site of Dion. Visit the market of local products “Safetis Histories” in Dion and “Bardakis” in Nea Trapezouda. Dinner at the restaurant “Gastronomio en olympo” in Litochoro

Please note:
1. This trip is aimed at friends of wine tourism and gastronomy.
2. Visitors could follow one of the Wine Routes of Northern Greece, follow part of a route or choose a combination 
between different Routes.
3. The Wine Routes of Northern Greece are eight:  the Olympian Gods, Epirus, Lakes, Naoussa, Pella-Goumenissa,
Thessaloniki, Halkidiki and Dionysus.
4. Making a reservation at the wineries and hotels is recommended.
5. The programme could be changed according the point and time of departure and arrival, adding or eliminating
options.
6. The above programme recommends businesses, which are members of the Wineroads network, at the Wine Route
of the Olympian Gods..
7. In both of the wine routes there are more possibilities for visitors, such as visits to archaeological places, caves,   churches, monasteries and outdoor activities options such as horse riding, cycling, rafting, hiking, climbing and others.
