Wine Routes of the Olympian Gods and Naoussa

Duration: 3 days
1st day Departure from Athens in the morning – Arrival in Itea, Tempi Tour and wine tasting at the ‘Dougos Winery’ (1 hour) Departure to Rapsani (30’) Lunch at the recommended restaurant ‘Rapsanopolis’ Departure to Krania (45’) Tour and wine tasting at ‘Domaine Katsaros’ (1 hour) Departure to Naoussa (1.45’) For your stay we recommend the following traditional hotels: ‘Esperides Spa Hotel’ entering Naoussa, ‘Palea Poli’ in Naoussa, ‘Valtadoros’ and ‘Vermion’ in Agios Nikolaos, ‘Driades’ in Horas Nero area in Naoussa and ‘Germa Chalet & Spa’ in Metamorfosi For dinner, depending on your choice we recommend the following restaurants: ‘Oinomagiremata’ and ‘Palea Poli’ in Naoussa and ‘Rakokazano’ in Nea Strantza Dinner can be arranged at some of the wineries, by appointment
2nd day Continue your trip at the Wine Route of Naoussa by visiting the following wineries for a tour and wine tasting: ‘Boutari’, ‘Dalamara Winery’, ‘Domaine Foundi’, ‘Kir-Yianni’, ‘Argatia’ and ‘Vaeni Naoussa’ Distances between wineries and recommended hotels is short (10’ – 30’). Visits to wineries last between 45’ – 1,5 hours For lunch and dinner, choose one of the remaining options of the first day’s programme
3rd day Visit any of the above wineries, not visited on the second day of the programme Departure to Litohoro for a meal at the recommended restaurant ‘Gastrodromio en Olympo’. Stop for a short visit at the local products’ shop ‘Istories Safeti’ in Dion. Return to Athens

Visitors could follow one of the Wine Routes of Northern Greece, follow part of a route or choose a combination between different Routes. 3. The Wine Routes of Northern Greece are eight: the Olympian Gods, Epirus, Lakes, Naoussa, Pella-Goumenissa, Thessaloniki, Halkidiki and Dionysus. 4. Making a reservation at the wineries and hotels is recommended. 5. The programme could be changed according the point and time of departure and arrival, adding or eliminating options. 6. The above programme recommends businesses, which are members of the Wineroads network, at the Wine Routes of the Olympian Gods and Naoussa. 7. Along the above wine routes there are more recommended businesses worth visiting if time allows, depending on the final schedule of the trip. 8. In both of the wine routes there are more possibilities for visitors, such as visits to archaeological places, caves, churches, monasteries and outdoor activities options such as horse riding, cycling, rafting, hiking, climbing and others.
